We are looking for a candidate who is innovative, technically, and commercially driven and ready to join an exciting and fast-growing company.

Spectro Inlets develops and sells cutting-edge sensor technology to leading R&D institutions within power-to-X and battery research around the world, including Imperial College London and Stanford University

The company’s products are based on ground-breaking technology originally developed at the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). We develop and sell analysis instruments based on this technology that gives revolutionary insight into the fundamental mechanisms within electrochemistry research and battery development. Currently we are experiencing large interest in our technology which is why, we need an R&D engineer to join our EC-MS Team

Your responsibilities

· Carry out application development for our analysis instrument, e.g. by expanding its technical capabilities, conducting experiments and writing application notes for customers. For example, design, validation and documentation of new electrochemical cells, fluid handling systems, etc.)

· Support our Salesforce by giving technical presentations and participating in international conferences and customer visits. Expected travel 30-40 days/year.

· Perform electrochemistry benchmark tests of our system as part of QC and assist with high complexity customer support cases.

WHo we are looking for

· MSc or PhD in chemical engineering, physics, or similar technical background.

· Practical experience with lab work, instrumentation as well as designing and conducting experiments.

· Defining goals and technical requirements for new development projects and manage these projects.

· Ability to communicate complex material to potential customers, both written and orally.

· Flexible with a “can do” attitude, working independently and a team player.

· Experience with electrochemical processes and measurement techniques

Knowledge that will be considered an advantage but not mandatory:

· Mass spectrometry, gas/vacuum physics and instrumentation

· Programming skills e.g. in Python

· Mass transport of gaseous species across multiple phases.
