Zilien is the software platform for operating an ECMS system: gas handling, mass spectrometry settings, temperature regulation, and the coordinated execution of combined electrochemistry–mass spectrometry experiments, with synchronized data from the potentiostat and mass spectrometer throughout.
Zilien presents the entire ECMS setup at a glance, including valves, mass flow controllers, the pressure controller, pumps, and gauges, with live readouts of each component’s state. The layout reflects the specific instrument configuration and supports both manual operation and automated procedures such as chip pump-down.
During a measurement, Zilien provides time-synchronized data across mass spectrometry, electrochemical potential and current, system pressure and gas flows, and full mass scans. Notes can be added directly to the data as an experiment runs, making it easier for a researcher to record events at the moment they occur.
Zilien puts precise control of the mass spectrometer directly in the researcher’s hands, from filament selection and SEM tuning to reducing the ionization energy for soft ionization. Temperature regulation is managed from the same interface, alongside the full set of measurement parameters, including which m/z channels to monitor, dwell time and timing for MID scans, and the conditions that trigger a mass scan.
Completed experiment files open directly in Zilien, without the need for another software. Researchers can quickly revisit any past experiment and review exactly what happened, right from the same interface they measured in.
