We are seeking a production engineer with expertise in electronics to join our operations team helping with manufacturing, quality control, and delivery of our state-of-the-art analysis instruments, and provide first-line support for field installations. Responsibilities include coordinating with the sales department, liaising with suppliers, and developing our warehouse and manufacturing processes to ensure smooth and efficient production.
You will be part of a motivated and highly competent small team working hard to create a new future of advanced instrumentation and mass spectrometry.
We currently produce and support two products: (i) a table-top R&D system for electrochemistry studies in Power-to-X and battery material development (EC-MS) and (ii) an in-line sensor instrument for real-time monitorin
Responsibilities
- Execute the manufacturing, quality control, and delivery of our advanced analysis instruments.
- Develop and organize warehouse and manufacturing procedures to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in our production.
- Communicate with suppliers for the procurement of components and manage the implementation of changes in components and production procedures.
- Assist with on-site delivery and provide technical support for analysis instruments to international customers in R&D labs and industrial facilities worldwide.
- Collaborate with R&D engineers to develop and improve support protocols, addressing various support tasks effectively.
- Execute or facilitate small development tasks within electronics and wiring
Qualifications
Required technical skills
- You have a technical background as an electronics technician or electronics engineer.
- Have experience with mechanical or electronic design and system integration.
- You have demonstrable experience in hands-on technical work, such as assembly and quality control of machinery, and a willingness to learn the workings of a technical system.
- You have a keen eye for detail and wish to deliver a high level of technical quality, as well as a willingness to engage with customers when solving technical issues and delivering products.
- You have overall a positive approach to your work and you are proactive in ensuring that things run as smoothly as possible.
- You are a team player, and enjoy working closely together with the rest of the team.
- You are fluent in English.
Additional experience with one or more of the following is an advantage
- You have experience with schematic capture and PCB design software.
- You have experience with control electronics and pneumatic actuation.
- You have experience with vacuum systems and fluid handling systems and their control.
- You have experience with CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and mechanical design.
- You have experience with ERP systems (e.g. Odoo) and warehouse organization.
